Keynote speakers

The conference will feature the distinguished participation of two highly respected professionals in their respective fields of study, Thomas Donaldson and Michael Morley, who will deliver addresses as invited keynote speakers.

Professor Thomas Donaldson, University of Pennsylvania

Thomas Donaldson has consulted and lectured at many organizations, including the Business Roundtable, Goldman Sachs, Walt Disney, the United Nations, Microsoft, The Tata Group, Exelon, Motorola, AT&T, JP Morgan, Johnson & Johnson, KPMG, Los Alamos National Laboratory, ConocoPhillips, Shell, IBM, Western Mining-Australia, Pfizer, the AMA, the IMF, Bankers Trust, and the World Bank. He served from 2004 to 2009 as an appointed member of the National Adjudicatory Council of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA, formerly the NASD). He was named the most influential “thought leader” in Ethisphere Magazine’s 2007 ranking of the 100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics. In 2009, he won the Aspen Institute’s Pioneer Award for Lifetime Achievement. Dr. Donaldson has written broadly in the areas of business ethics, values, and leadership. His books include: Ethical Issues in Business, 8th Edition (Prentice-Hall Inc., 2007), with P. Werhane, and Ethics in International Business (Oxford University Press, 1989).

Professor Michael Morley, Kemmy Business School

Professor Michael Morley holds the Chair in Management at the Kemmy Business School, where he also serves as Assistant Dean for Research. In conjunction with his collaborators, he has authored several books and curated and edited several volumes which have been published by, among others, Oxford University Press, Routledge, Butterworth-Heinemann and Palgrave Macmillan. His research has appeared in leading journal outlets such as Journal of International Business Studies, Human Relations, Personnel Psychology, British Journal of Management, Journal of Business Research, Industrial and Labor Relations Review, Group and Organization Management, Human Resource Management Review, Journal of World Business, International Business Review, International Journal of Human Resource Management and the Journal of Managerial Psychology. He has received several best paper awards and been presented with the University’s Research Excellence Award on three separate occasions (1999; 2006; 2010). He was elected to serve as the 2007-2010 Chair of the Irish Academy of Management, and the 2012-2013 President of the International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management. In 2013, he was elected to Fellowship of the Irish Academy of Management, and in 2024 to Fellowship of the European Academy of Management for his contributions to the discipline and to the Academy. He is currently serving as Co-Editor-in-Chief (with Professor Anna Grandori from Bocconi University) of European Management Review, the journal of the European Academy of Management.
